A 3 hours seminar on Tuned Mass Dampers will be given online, live, on November 17, 2021, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. CET.
The programme ( Seminar TMD 17 November 2021) includes a general description of damping system for vibration control, using a performance-based design approach. The 800 t TMD of the skyscraper Taipei 101 is shown as one of the examples. Finally, fluid viscous dampers for wind and earthquake protection are described.
